This book is amazing! Rusty is such a compelling character. He leaves his life as a 'kittypet' and ventures out into the forest to join the ThunderClan. His struggles from apprentice to warrior keep you glued to the pages. I read this book in two sittings I believe. Rusty (Firepaw, Fireheart) never looses his faith in himself and his clan while he finds he way. There's a bloodthirsty warrior looking to become deputy, a struggle among the four cat clans, murder, mystery and a sense of family. Erin Hunter has an amazing imagination. Reading the second book now!
