I absolutely loved this book. The characters are amazingly in-depth. I flew through the pages and I'm intensely sad that its over. I cannot wait until the next book. The Greek Gods and Goddesses in this book are ones that haven't been featured prominently. The descriptions were spot on. I felt as if I was in this story myself. The love story is one that has been done before, but I felt as though I've never read a love story at all. With all the mythological loves stories hitting the shelves recently, this is one you should pick up (or download) and read RIGHT AWAY! Shawn L. Bird knows what she's doing. I'm absolutely thrilled for her next novels and hope to read much more about Grace and Ben.
I would also like to thank Shawn L. Bird for treating her readers with respect. I hated Twilight and felt as though I was reading a children's book. Thank you for picturing us as either intelligent adults or young adults. You have found a reader for life.

I loved the book, too... Though I didn't feel that the characters were that deep... We finish the book without even knowing *why* Grace is the heroine in the first place. (and we don't know what Grace is like in school, what she's like at home, what her hobbies are, what her dreams for the future are, etc.,) And Ben is a little girlfriend centered >.> Overall, it was a good read, though.
ReplyDeleteIt was more their emotions for me. I think Grace being the heroine is something that you are supposed to speculate on. It hints around to her being some reincarnated Goddess or something (thats the impression I got). And yes, Ben is girlfriend centered. If he was my boyfriend I'd kick him in the teeth. XD
